DaVinci IQ3 Review: My First Hand Experience
The improvement is evident from the packaging of the DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer. It looked like the DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer was waiting for me to hold and use it. It had a small drawer-like compartment that contained the accessories. Upon lifting, the DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer felt a bit heavier and certainly bigger than the original DaVinci IQ2. However, it came with a bunch of exciting but important accessories consisting of:

The DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer can be termed as a premium device because it costs more than $300. It does provide the value which justifies the high-end pricing. I was amazed by the other value for money that the DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer brought to the table. All those value-adding features are explained in the headings below.
Design & Build Quality
The DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer has the same design and look as the original DaVinci IQ2 and IQC Vaporizers. The device looked sleek and attractively shiny. I instantly fell in love with the look and the OG LED grid on the face of the device. The device is bigger than the preceding models. The body is built of aluminum metal and the chamber compartment is replaced by the spiral vapor path called the cool core.
The other end of the device contains a heating chamber that has a 0.7-gram capacity and an adjustable pearl to pack the dry herbs perfectly. Moreover, the DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer has 12 holes at the bottom of the chamber to increase the heat and airflow. The base of the device is broader to ensure that it can stand upright. Other than this, the air dial at the bottom allows you to adjust the airflow throughout the session.
Vaping Performance
Every other DaVinci device before this product had a somewhat identical vaping performance. However, this has changed with the introduction of the DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer.
The first thing that I really liked about the DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer was its larger chamber. The glass-lined ceramic chamber has a 0.7-gram capacity for longer smoking sessions. It does support 0.2-gram dry dosage capsules which is ideal for micro-dosing.
The DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer boasts a cool core flavor chamber that cools the vapors by 54%. Upon powering the device, it took 30 seconds to prepare the first batch of vapors. The zirconia and glass vapor path ensured that the vapor quality did not fall throughout the session. I enjoyed every sip of the warm and flavorful vapors. The vapors did not feel harsh at all due to the cool core technology.
Other than this, the DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer has an advanced Air Dial that has improved the airflow by 70%. The improvement is evident right from the first batch where the draw resistance is minimal. DaVinci Tech has restrained the temperature range from 0 to 221 degrees Celsius with a degree increment.
Battery Life & Charging
I personally did not like the battery performance of the DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer. The DaVinci IQC had a battery life of 2 hours, but this device lasted 90 minutes only. The 21700 battery powering the DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer provides 50% more running time than the IQ2 Vaporizer, but I am not impressed by it. However, the battery is replaceable. You can carry an extra set while traveling.
The DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer is a rechargeable device having a USB-C port on its back. The charging time is 3 hours, which is again mediocre for a device costing around $300. You have to purchase an external charger to better manage the recharge schedule. I loved the reverse charging mechanism where the device works like a power bank to charge your mobile phone.
Ease of use
The DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer is a fairly simple device to use. The loading and unloading is simple. You can load the device directly or through a dosage capsule or pod provided in the accessories. The device has an adjustable pearl on the lid to pack the dry herbs tightly. The LED grid on the device is a convenient mechanism to know what is going on inside the device.
The DaVinci users already know it but I have to tell you that the DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer supports mobile app controllability. The mobile app is available on iOS, Android, and the web portal. The physical controls consist of three buttons, which make the overall experience much more convenient.
Safety Features
Like all other DaVinci devices, the DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer is heavy metal tested to make sure that none of the components intoxicate the dry herbs and extracts when heat is applied. Moreover, there are no loose parts so neither the dry herb nor the extracts will seep through the heating chamber and the vapor path. The DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer also has vibration feedback to alert the user about the low battery levels and preparation of a batch of vapors. The product build is strong as the manufacturer provides a 10-year warranty on all the components to cover the performance issues.
Customization Option
The DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer has several customization options that you can use to improve your vaping experience. I admire the leverage that the DaVinci devices have when it comes to opting between precise and preset temperature settings. The precise settings are for experienced smokers who know the right temperature intensities. On the other hand, the preset temperature settings are ideal for the newbies. The preset temperature settings are not as value-adding for me though, but an inexperienced smoker might find them helpful.
The option to opt for the physical or mobile app control is a luxury. You can use the DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer at your convenience. The physical controls are simple while the mobile app is more detailed. The mobile app can also be accessed through the web portal. Moreover, it supports iOS and Android. The DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer is compatible with water pipes and glass bongs due to the availability of a 10-mm adaptor.
Final Verdict: Is It Worth Buying?
The DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer is one of my favorite vaping devices so far, due to the fact that it has overcome the majority of flaws. It has a larger heating chamber that has 33% more capacity than the previous models. Moreover, the vapors are cooler and the airflow resistance is low.
The cool core technology is a welcome addition to the features because most people felt that the vapors generated by the IQ2 and IQC Vaporizers were hot. Other than this, the airflow is 70% better as the air dial and more holes at the bottom of the chamber make more space for the vapors to travel.
I recommend the DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer to everyone who can afford it. However, the battery life can be an issue. You have to get along with the external charging and carry an extra set of 21700 batteries.
