DaVinci IQC is often regarded as a successor of the DaVinci IQ2 because it has a reduced charging time, but the manufacturer did not integrate high-end features like the air dial for airflow control. However, DaVinci Tech has introduced the DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer as the official replacement of the IQ2 with the same features but an improved cooling mechanism and battery life.
After this, many users started questioning the DaVinci IQC Vaporizer’s utility. Both devices have the advanced USB-C charging technology, but the differences are evident if you check the features in detail. The comparison is valid for those people who are upgrading from the IQ2 or IQ2 Carbon Vaporizers.
By the end of this comparison, you will understand the difference between each of these vaporizers and the value that they bring to your daily vaping needs.

Recommendation
Beginner – Both the DaVinci IQ3 and IQC are ideal devices for beginners. It takes a while to get the hang of smart paths initially, but it gets better afterwards. The DaVinci IQC is slightly more suitable for beginners as it is available at a lower price and has no air dial to adjust the airflow.
Flavor chaser – The DaVinci IQ3 is a far better device for flavor chasers. It has the same zirconia heating chamber to preserve the quality. However, the cool core technology plays its part to reduce the temperature before the vapors reach your lips. The user has control over the vapor density as well.
Traveler – The DaVinci IQ3 is a more preferable option for travelers because it has a larger chamber capacity and is compatible with dosage pods. Other than this, the battery is removable to make sure that you can carry an extra set to extend the smoking session.
Heavy users – Larger chamber capacity is the only differentiating feature that makes the DaVinci IQ3 a better choice for heavy users.
Design and Build Quality
The DaVinci IQ3 and IQC Vaporizers inherit the same flagship design, where you will find an LED grid on the face and physical controls on the side. The body is made of high-quality and aircraft-grade brushed aluminum that looks & feels classy. The zirconia chamber is located at the bottom, covered with an antibacterial lid. The lid and other parts have no loose connections, so your safety is ensured. Moreover, all the metallic components are heavy metal tested to make sure that both the devices emit no harmful radiations amidst all the heat.
Both devices individually weigh 160 grams and are compact enough to hold or pocket while travelling. The body is 3.6 inches tall and 1.75 inches wide. I am still amazed by the fact that DaVinci Tech has integrated such an efficient heating system inside a 3.6-inch body. While considering the design and build quality, both the DaVinci IQ3 and IQC Vaporizers are on par due to their identical physical features.
Core Performance Metrics
Heating performance metrics
DaVinci Tech has a rich history of manufacturing the most heat-efficient devices that heat up quickly while preserving the vapor quality. Both devices under consideration have a fast heat-up time of 30 seconds because the conduction technology heats the chamber directly.
The DaVinci IQC has a slightly smaller chamber size than the DaVinci IQ3. The former has a 0.5-gram dry herb capacity while the latter allows you to fit 0.7 grams of dry herbs inside its chamber. The DaVinci IQ3 is more suitable for group sessions, as you can load more into it. However, I loved the fact that it is compatible with dosage pods (an effective way to microdose).
Both devices provide you with the leverage to select precise intensities between 0 and 221 degrees Celsius. You can opt for more convenient temperature settings where the Bluetooth app enables you to select preset temperatures from the available Smart Paths.
Battery performance metrics
Each of the contemporaries in this article has removable and rechargeable batteries. These features enable users to extend the duration of their smoking sessions by purchasing an extra set. Both devices have USB-C charging ports, which are an efficient recharge mechanism. However, the IQC has 18650 batteries (approximately 3000 mAh), so it takes around two hours to charge. On the contrary, the DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer has a 4000 mAh battery that charges in two to three hours.
The charging time of both devices is better than the original DaVinci IQ2 Vaporizer, which used to take six long hours to charge. The battery life of the DaVinci IQ3 and IQC Vaporizers did not impress me, as they depleted within 90 minutes. You can find a better performing battery at a much affordable price. However, you can improve the battery life by hitting lower temperatures and avoiding the use of the Bluetooth app.
Vapor Quality & User Experience
The vapor quality of both vaporizers is superior, as the manufacturer focuses on preserving the taste and temperature levels. These devices have airtight zirconia and glass vapor paths to ensure pure flavors and to avoid burning due to excessive exposure to conduction heating. However, the DaVinci IQ3 has far better components and features in this regard.
The DaVinci IQ3 has a trademark cool core flavor chamber to make sure that the vapors are 54% cooler than other devices on the market. Moreover, you will find an air dial that enables you to control the vapor density and airflow. For me, the DaVinci IQC has decent vapors, but the IQ3 does incredibly well with its unrestricted airflow.
Other than this, both IQ3 and IQC vaporizers are simple to use. They have LED grids on the face of the device to communicate the temperature settings and battery levels. The Bluetooth App enables you to select your favorite smart paths (the preset temperature intensities). The simple physical controls, along with the haptic feedback, make usage a lot easier.
Ease of Use and Maintenance
DaVinci Tech has retained its OG loading mechanism in the DaVinci IQ3 and IQC Vaporizers. You need to flip open the antimicrobial lid at the bottom to expose the chamber. Once the chamber is packed, close the lid and power on the device to start smoking. Both devices are compatible with dry herbs and concentrates alike.
However, I do not recommend smoking concentrates on DaVinci devices because it creates a lot of mess inside the chamber. The cleaning tools are good enough to scratch off the residue and clean the chamber, but the airpath in the mid portion of the device is hard to clean. The components do not catch rust or deteriorate easily, but you should take care of them.
Price & Value Proposition
The DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer is an expensive device that costs $300 on the official website. It is among the most premium products produced by its manufacturer. The value definitely justifies the cost because you get excellent vapor quality and heat efficiency. However, the power stats could have been better at this price range. To compensate for the power stats, you have to purchase an extra set of batteries, which will ultimately cost you more.
On the other hand, the DaVinci IQC Vaporizer is available on the official website for $200. The price is more affordable, and the feature proportion is somewhat the same. You get great vapor quality with almost the same power stats. The manufacturer does not provide an air dial in this device, so the cost efficiency disappointed us here. The cost of additional batteries is relevant if you want to extend the running time.
Warranty & Customer Support
DaVinci Tech offers a 10-year warranty on the IQ3 Vaporizer and a 5-year warranty on IQC. The warranty covers all the manufacturing defects and performance issues. However, people usually complain about the company not honoring claims.
I would recommend reading the warranty policy in detail to ensure you have everything covered. The warranty period is sufficient to address every little issue related to the manufacturing of the products. The DaVinci IQC’s warranty period is 5 years, but it is also decent for a frequently used device.
Final Verdict
The DaVinci IQ3 would be my recommendation for anyone who demands flavorful vapors and control over the vapor density. It has an air dial to tweak the airflow, and the chamber capacity is sufficient to deliver group sessions. The only downside of the DaVinci IQ3 is a relatively shorter battery life. The price is premium, so most people cannot afford it.
On the contrary, the DaVinci IQC has standard airflow because the manufacturer has not integrated an air dial into it. The chamber capacity is slightly less than the IQ3. However, it has better battery stats and is available for a more budget-friendly price. Going for the DaVinci IQC is a safer option for students and teenagers. No matter which one of the two devices you opt for, DaVinci products are always a value-adding upgrade.
