Focus V Carta vs Kandypens Oura
Design
The Focus V Carta and the Kandypens Oura have a similar design, with the Kandypens having a bit of a tilt and the Focus V Carta having an upright profile.
The Kandypens Oura has a buttonless design with a touch sensor and led that goes around its body.
The Focus V Carta has a button and four led indicator lights on its side. The Kandypens Oura comes in six colors, whereas the Focus V Carta only comes in black.
Design is up to personal preferences, but the Kandypens, in my opinion, edges out the Focus V Carta with its color options and buttonless design.
Battery/Charging
The Kandypens Oura and the Focus V Carta both have USB-c charging. Both vaporizers take about an hour to charge from zero fully.
However, the Focus V Carta beats the Kandypens in capacity with two 18350 batteries, with the Oura only having a 3000maH battery.
An added benefit of the Focus V is that the batteries are changeable, and it comes with additional 18350 batteries that you can swap out.
The Focus V Carta is the clear winner in the battery department.
Portability
The Kandypens Oura and Focus V Carta are designed to be portable vape rigs with desktop performance. Both can easily fit into a backpack, the Focus v Carta measures 23 x 15 x 10 cm, and the Kandypens measures 15 × 10 × 5 cm.
The Kandypens Oura weighs in at 0.66 lbs, and the Focus V Carta weighs in at 1.05 lbs making the Focus the heavier of the two.
Overall the Kandypens Oura is lighter and much more compact than the Focus V Carta, making it much more portable.
Heating Time
The Kandypens Oura has a 5-second heat-up time with the Focus V in the 5-8 sec range. It’s a tie in the heat-up time, as a 3-second difference (in some cases) is not much of a lead in my book.
Temperature Range
The Kandypens Oura comes with preset temperatures with an LED indicator light that indicates the specific temperature.
- Yellow is 620 degrees Fahrenheit (327 degrees Celsius),
- Green is 860 degrees Fahrenheit (460 degrees Celsius)
- Red is 980 degrees Fahrenheit (527 degrees Celsius), and
- Blue is 1090 Fahrenheit (588 degrees Celsius).
The Focus V Carta also comes with temperature presets, which are 500 degrees Fahrenheit (260 degrees Celsius), 630 degrees Fahrenheit (332 degrees Celsius) 770 degrees Fahrenheit (410 degrees Celsius). The Focus V has the added benefit of temperature control up to 1 degree via the V Carta app.
The Kndypens Oura has higher ranges with funky indicator lights making it a better choice.

The Kandypens Oura comes with the following accessories out of the box;

- 1x Quartz Atomizer
- 1x Ceramic Bowl Atomizer
- 1x Carb Cap & Tether
- 1x Applicator Tool
- 1x USB-C Charging Cable
- 4x Cotton Swab
The Focus V packs many goodies with its vaporizer.
Vapor Quality
The atomizers on the Focus V Carta perform exceptionally; they can handle a decent amount of wax while giving out vapor. The draws are very smooth, thanks to the bubble. The flavor is as close to pure as possible using the quartz cup, and you can make sick clouds with the metal cup.
The Kandypens Oura can pump out clouds with the best of them, but the flavor, even in lower settings, is average. At the highest temperature setting, if someone is looking for a 60-second drag, it will cause some discomfort in the throat.
For those looking for a better flavor, the Focus V Carta is the go-to; for those looking to make clouds, the Kandypens Oura is the better choice.
Smart Connectivity
The Kandypens Oura does not have Bluetooth or an app that can connect to a smartphone.
The Focus V Carta comes with the CARTA app, both available on Android and iOS. The CART app connects with a smartphone via Bluetooth, with which the user can set up custom temperatures, run times, and count sessions.
Warranty
The Kandypens Oura offers a lifetime warranty, whereas the Focus v Carta offers limited warranty periods, with 1 year for the CARTA base.
A lifetime warranty on your product offers clear peace of mind for any buyer, especially someone spending over $200 on a single product.
Should You Buy Carta OR Oura?
Both products have their pros and cons. On the one hand, the Focus V Carta offers a lower price, smart connectivity and a lower price.
On the other hand, the Kandypens has a sleeker, much more premium design, higher temperature ranges, and a lifetime warranty. Overall, in my opinion, the Focus v Carta is a much better purchase; it is priced less, and the heating time is on par with the Kandypens.
But, the best feature in my eyes is the replaceable rechargeable batteries that come with it. It will be a lifesaver when you are outside and cannot find a place to charge your rig.
